School Council

Welcome to the School Council page, Ysgol Bro Gwydir

What is a school council?

A school council is a group of pupils, elected by their classmates to represent their views and raise issues with the school's senior managers and governors. The school council can also participate and organize projects on behalf of the pupils, and contribute to planning as well as discussing ideas on how to best implement the School Development Plan as well as contributing opinions towards governance meetings and staff appointments.

We will discuss any issues that have arisen, ideas on how to improve the school and organize any events.

Gwydir Bro School Council will:

  • A voice for all the children of the school
  • Continue to improve our school
  • Help keep the school healthy and safe
  • Helping the children to be friends
  • Give everyone a chance to share ideas
  • Discuss new ideas
  • Collect and raise money to help charities
  • Organize events to raise money towards new resources for the school in order to promote the health and well-being of our pupils
  • The School Council is the voice of our children, they have the right to discuss and make decisions in order to improve our school.
